Trees are carbon dioxide reducing,
erosion preventing, oxygen producing, majestic, and
sturdy life-forms that grow with their environment
- not in spite of it (like industrial-age humans). These wise, woody creatures
inspired young Alex Vojdani (vocals, lyrics, guitar,
keys), Matt Kronish (vocals, lyrics, guitar, banjo),
and Donald Fisher (vocals, lyrics, keys, synth bass,
mandolin, guitar) as high school students in Calabasas,
CA. The boys' longing for the blissful innocence of infancy
and the spiritual life among nature, coupled with their
camaraderie, begat Infantree in 2007. After graduation,
they stayed together, hellbent on improving themselves
and making as profound an impact with their music as
possible. In 2008, the family tree grew a new branch
as lovable yet animalistic drummer Jordon Avesar joined
the group.
In
2009 the band finished their planed EP, turned LP, "Tree-P." Self-produced,
self-recorded and self-released, their debut exhibits
the diverse inspirations of the writers while retaining
a cohesive sound accredited to the strength and closeness
of the band. As all the boys were properly loved
as children, and had written songs for as long as they
remembered, they hated the thought of one of them being
the stuck-up "frontman" toward whom the others
would grow increasingly bitter. To prevent this, they
all bring new songs to the group, work on them together,
and play their collective favorites. Enjoy.
